From the early 1970s until 1992, Raymond J. Sark (1927-1997) collected native crafts and operated a craft shop on the Lennox Island Reserve, Prince Edward Island. He assembled an important collection of hundreds of baskets, made by numerous craftspersons, constructed from ash, maple, willow, birch bark, sweetgrass, horsehair, beads and quill.

Catalogue to accompany an exhibit at the Arts Guild, Charlottetown, P.E.I., Sept. 6-Oct. 18, and Lennox Island, P.E.I., Oct. 19-31, 2003. Includes biographical information on the craftspersons.
